Strengths: Upper surfaces are laminated with a tough, pleasing faux teak.

Weaknesses: The most significant problem is that the internal gas cylinder is charged with about 100 pounds. A small person can not push the monitor surface downward unless it has almost that much weight on it ??

Summary: The workstation pneumatic cylinder [the heart of the workstation] arrives as an assembled unit and must be disassembled before it can be combined with 53 other components in this kit. Unfortunately, the illustrated Assembly Instructions do not coincide with the cylinder provided. One must have a few skills to understand how to get this apart. [There is a Self-Locking Circlip at the base of the cylinder.]Neither are the illustrations particularly useful in understanding shelf surface orientation.After contacting Balt Customer Service and being told there was no way to reduce gas cylinder force or replace it with one of a more realistic value, it was replaced with a generic 25 pound unit from McMaster-Carr.
