Rating: Time with product: 14 Days Strengths: Love it and it makes a bunch of ice. Weaknesses: None known to date. Summary: I love the look and style of this fridge. My fiance and I bought it last week and think it is great. I'm not sure what the problem is with the icemaker though. It makes so much ice that I have started to bag it and sell it to neighbors at a handsome profit. The icemaker even lets me know it is ready to unload by playing Ice, Ice, Baby with digital beeps and booming plastic bass. It almost pays for itself! If any of you need ice, please let me know. |

Rating: Time with product: 14 Days Strengths: Volume for holding food. Quiet. Holds temperature well. Weaknesses: None. Summary: We've had this refrigerator for two weeks. We love the roominess for food storage. Plenty of adjustable shelves, including one that folds up for taller objects stored on the shelf below it, and one that slides in for the same purpose. Containers in the door can be moved to accommodate different height containers. We would have preferred a refrigerator without the ice/water dispensers in the door, but got an excellent price on this model so we compromised. It size, however, required the doors to be removed to get it into our house, and their removal was more involved than on some brands/models. The delivery folks broke a thin plastic cover plate in the process, but the store replaced it quickly. A nice touch is the bottom freezer drawer, which slides out easily when the handle is lifted. The ice does make a little noise when dropping into the dispenser, but no more than other brands we've heard at homes of friends/relatives. The folks at the store called this the "Cadillac" of their appliances, and they may be right. If it holds up as long as our previous Amana refrigerator (21 years), we'll be delighted. |

Rating: Time with product: 14 Days Strengths: Plenty of space, different temperature controls Weaknesses: Noisy ice making function Summary: This refrigerator can hold weeks worth of food and the drawer freezer is perfect for anyone that is fed up with the narrow side freezers on other french-door fridges. I've owned it for over 2 weeks now and the only gripe I have the loud thud-thud noise it makes when ice is fed into the ice dispenser. The first time I heard it I thought someone had broken into the house. The other problem I had was when a glass broke in my hand while I was filling it with ice. The ice maker dispenses ice with some force. I havent used breakable glasses since, but watch out! Its too early to comment further, but I do have an extended warranty on this piece. Any appliance that is controlled by a computerized chip is bound to need help regularly - Samsung or not. |
