Summary: Never worked. Had 2 technicians from Samsung come. They tried to replace the Motherboard, but no luck. I am now on hold w/Samsung Executive Cust Service (40mins) to demand a new one. I have lost all hope. We have not had a ref for 6.5 weeks. Unbelievable after spending 2400.00 on this junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Unit is not really supported by SEARS where we bought it, they say its fine. The 4 sets of different service companies that have come out and NEVER take a TEMP, never check the FLOW, NEVER check the ice. We have had pools of water on our floor from the leaking ice maker that never gets to 32F. Butthey say everything is wonderful.THis is the best looking, most fully featured refrigerator anywhere.BUT IT IS A HORROR- Spoilded food, puddles inside and outside refrigerator.THE SAMSUNG AUTHORIZED REPAIR PEOPLE ARE HORRORS AND INEPT>

Summary: When we plugged in our brand new 29 cubic Samsung and it didn't cool after 4 hours, we called Samsung. They said wait 24 hours. So...we waited. It never cooled. When we called for service Thursday (just before our 4th of July party)..we were told Monday someone may be able to come out. FIVE DAYS! When I talked to their Executive Customer Service, I was promised a call back in an hour...it's been 21 days and I"m still waiting. When I called back, I was hung up on. Thanks Samsung, you're very professional...and you're right, who needs their fridge anyways, simply a luxury...just keep going to your neighbors house to use their old one in the garage...Needless to say the party was cancelled. Monday came. After the tech was very late - who cares if you're waiting around the hosue 5 hours

Strengths: We purchased a Samsung French Door Ref and it is great.

Weaknesses: The Ice maker did tear up but it was replaced at no cost to us because of the waranty.

Summary: Even though the Ice maker did not work it was replaced free of change. I will keep in touch to let you know if the new ice maker also tears up. So far I have enjoyed the Refrigerator as it does have a lot of room and it looks very nice in my kitchen. So if your ice maker does comp out on you just call 1-800-samsung and they will send someone free of change to replace the icemaker.

Summary: The layout of this refrigerator is great. Good visability to all compartments, handy alarm when door is left open, shelves are easily configured, and general layout is great, The freezer has a lot of usable space.However, for this price, having an icemaker that is this poor is unacceptable. It generates ice quite slowly. We have paid more for this refrigerator than the three other models TOGETHER in our 21 years of marriage, and we can't believe how poor and slow the icemaker is. I would guess it is about 1/3 as effective as any of our other two friges that had icemakers. Our Kennmore side-by-side almost never ran out of ice--except on summer days when supplying ice chests/coolers etc--then it quickly caught up. This unit--for the month of November--hardly ever has enough ice for our normal use. Icemaker is quite loud--which is acceptable, but the extreme slowness is unacceptable. If you can tolerate the 'barely-there' icemaker, this may work for you. But, if you are like us, and an icemaker is important--avoid.The poor Sears service I am receiving on this unit does not affect my opinion of the refrigerator.
