The Hamilton Beach 4-slice Toaster brings back classic chrome and incorporates new bagel technology for toasting the cut side and warming the round side. This 4-slice toaster features wide slots to accommodate bagels or hand-sliced breads, and smart function buttons so you can set to reheat or defrost. A crumb tray is included and slides out for easy cleanup. Imported.

Rating: Time with product: 26 Days Strengths: Large, wide slots; toasts uniformly; good styling Weaknesses: Only one - the toast doesn't come up high enough when done Summary: I had a very similar looking 2-slice Admiral toaster that lasted 10 years, but stopped toasting uniformly on both sides. Bought this 4-slice Hamilton Beach and have been very happy with it except for one issue. The bread goes in deep for complete toasting, but when it is done and pops up it doesn't come up quite high enough. Even though you can lift it slightly more with the handle, it is still difficult to get out the toast. And if you are toasting something smaller than sliced bread it is even more difficult. This "problem" is not enough for me to return the item because it does do such a good job of toasting. |

Rating: Time with product: 2 Weeks Strengths: Great appearance. Extra wide slots for bagels and switch to select toasting on only one side. Lift lever provides extra lift for smaller slices. Weaknesses: Relatively well priced but not as cheap as others with similar features. Summary: Overall, this a good 4-slice toaster that has a great appearance without the hefty price of others with similar looks. The crumb trays under each pair of slots makes cleaning easier. |
