8.4
This multifunction hand mixer blends, chops, and has dough hook/kneader attachments. The 280W motor has 3 speeds plus a pulse setting and is positioned over the beaters. It does not require air vents that can collect dust and food. The mixer features a 66-inch pivoting cord for ease of use with a right or left hand, a non-slip counter rest, and cord storage.

Rating: Time with product: 1 Week Strengths: Easy to use and switch from fucntion to function Weaknesses: Has two major mechanical issues Summary: I have owned several of these mixers and I have to say I do love the way it functions however, it has two major problems that I have had to have fixed under warranty and a couple of times they wouldn't honor their warranty because I had no proof of purchase. The worst problem is that the switch breaks and will only work on "high". The second is the wand/ beaters "strip" and then slip. One of these problems has happened to every one of these units I have owned. I still really like this product and just bought another one |

Rating: Time with product: 35 Days Strengths: Multiple functions, good accessory package, Smooth motor Weaknesses: Food processor is disappointing Summary: This item would be considered a small kitchen appliance that's great for light usuage. If you're a type of person who bakes a lot, then you would need something bigger like a kitchenaid mixer. If you like to process big food items, then this would be considered too small for your needs. But in essence, it's a very convenient appliance to have in the kitchen for light usage. Decent beater, mixer, and average food processing for small food items. |

Rating: Time with product: Strengths: Many functions with one appliance Weaknesses: Wish it came in a carrying case or storage box Summary: This is just what I've been looking for. This hand mixer, Has a chopper attachment, a type of milk shake attachement, dough hooks and regular beaters. I'm getting rid of my old hand mixer, my small food processor and my stand mixer. This will do. Of course it's a hand mixer so it's limited to the size you can do, but it's perfect for what I do, batches of cookies and cakes. I have a show box that I'm going to keep all the pieces in in the cupboard. But I'm getting rid of some other appliances that I just didn't use. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Strengths: Many features in one, motor is very strong. Weaknesses: Quality of parts aside from the blender are not that great when compared to stand-alone appliances. Summary: For someone needing a quick-fix for a number of appliances, the Braun M880 is a can't miss. I wanted to buy the Braun handheld blender, but also needed a mixer, so figured I'd pick this up instead. The blender works just as well as the previous stand-alone hand blender I've had. However, the beaters that come for the mixer and dough hooks seem a bit flimsy. They got the job done when I was making cookies, but if you are going to do a lot of baking, definitely pick up one of those Kitchen-aid mixers. The chopper works decently, but since it's so small, you kind of have to cut your stuff up first before using it, so again, if you need a food processor, I'd suggest something different. But if you have a few quick jobs that you need to get done in a snap, you can't miss w/the M880. The motor is very strong, and feels like it will last for a long time. Cleanup is a snap as well, since it's just the attachments that get dirty, and they're pretty easy to clean. |
