6-Quart, 575-Watt, Cinnamon Red
Rating:
9.34
Engineered for professionals, this mixer provides enough power and capacity to handle large batches of batters and doughs. For effective mixing and aerating, the attachments not only spin but also rotate around the 6-qt. bowl. sensor maintains a constant speed regardless of the load, while a soft-start feature reduces spattering. If overloaded, the machine shuts off automatically.

Strengths: Powerful motor, large bowl, looks great
Weaknesses: expensive, heavy, takes up lots of counterspace
Summary: I really like this mixer, it has enough power to mix large batches of whatever you might want to make. The choice of colors is also great, I am tired of things for the kitchen being white and boring. This mixer weighs a ton, and unless you have lots of counterspace, you will soon be sick of putting it away and pulling it out. Even though I love my mixer, I still feel a bit of buyers remorse, I wonder if one of the cheaper Kitchen Aide mixers would have been as nice as this one. At least I know it is much better than my old Sunbeam.

Strengths: powerful motor, red color, metal beaters
Weaknesses: None that I can see.
Summary: I love the more powerful motor for mixing fondant -- my last kitchanid (classic) died because I tried to make fondant in it. The metal beaters are so much better than the white coated ones that chip. I am looking forward to making many cakes and bread doughs w/ this mixer.

Strengths: Fast, powerful, mixes perfecty. I have made cookies, cakes, sponge cakes, and frosting with this mixer. It has never failed me!
Weaknesses: Can't think of any. sometimes with the whip attachment it doesn't always mix the sides. But this problem is solved by pushing the mixture down with a spatula.
Summary: I have tried the standard 250Watt mixer, which I thought was great. After trying the professional 600 mixer, there is no comparison and I would never use the 250Watt mixer again! The professional 600 mixer is so powerful, and it has a nice slow-start feature which helps to mix wet and dry ingredients together. With this cake I have been able to make lovely sponge cakes, something that is iffy when using a hand mixer or even a less powerful stand mixer. I have had no problems with this mixer, except when using the whipping attachment.
