Strengths: Great soundtrack, good graphics, physics aren't bad. Lots of replayability.

Weaknesses: GameCube controller isn't perfectly made for it.

Summary: I first played this on PS2, which I was horrible at, but more from a lack of experience with the controller. I had a much easier time picking it up for the GameCube, though at the same time, the controls are not as convenient. A lot of the combos require you to take your fingers off the analog stick, which can make it a little hairy. That said, the game is a great pick-up-and-play choice, lots of fun to pretend that I have the ability to do some 360s and backflips in a snowboard.

Weaknesses: not really unique in any way..

Summary: This game was pretty good. The graphics were excellent, the gameplay was more than ok, and the tricks were spectacular. The tricks in this game were done really well with the gamecube controller. Nothing really new to this one but its a great game!

Strengths: Fun, easy-to-play snowboarding action

Weaknesses: N/A

Summary: Up until the just recently released SSX on Tour, SSX 3 was the best snowboarding game available on any console. Continuing the tradition of SSX Tricky, this game has tons of unlockables (characters, outfits, boards, courses, and even the ability to rename peaks) and tons of customization options for your favorite character. The Gamecube version allows for the use of the GameCube-GameBoy link cable. With this, you can transfer cash from the GameBoy version of SSX 3 to the console version, allowing you to upgrade your characters with money earned while playing the portable game. This makes the Gamecube version the one to get if you have the GBA version already.

Strengths: Great graphics; fun multiplayer; good soundtrack

Weaknesses: Limited number of peaks to ski; controls take a while to master

Summary: IMHO, SSX 3 is a great extreme-ski racer. The graphics look really good. The game plays well for racing as well as freeriding down the mountain performing some wild uber stunts. While there are only 3 mountains (with several courses) to ski, the ride down the peaks are fairly long and have many areas to explore. However, I would have preferred a few more slopes. The controls take a little while to get comfortable with. Other than that, it a great game.

Summary: I've read very good things about this game and I got a good deal on it so I bought it. Awesome graphics, excellent soundtrack, not too difficult but it does get tougher as you progress.
