Unlike a fan that blows hot air, the Sunpentown SF-608R Portable Air Cooler cools personal air space 12°F cooler than any regular fan. Great for the home or office. Please Note: This is an air cooler, not an air conditioner. It provides an air stream that is lower than a room's ambient temperature, but it will not lower the ambient temperature of a room, as would an air conditioner. Features: 12°F cooler than regular fan Includes remote control Uses regular tap water 10 Liter water tank capacity Washable, photocatalysis filter Antibacterial water tank Germ-free water curtain circle system Three-speed fan with sleep mode Timer to run unit from from one-half to 7 1/2 hours Very economical, runs at a fraction of the cost of a air conditioner Three-year limited warranty Antibacterial water tank Germ-free water curtain circle system Three air-speed: H. M. L. Sleep mode Timer: from 0.5- to 7.5-hour setting. Net Weight: 17 Lbs. Dimensions- 25 in H by 16 in. W by 12 in. D Voltage: 120V / 60Hz Watts: 60W

Rating: Time with product: 51 Days Strengths: Cheap, light, Weaknesses: zero cooling power, performance very erratic, customer service absent Summary: Product is a good fan at best. it will blow cool air occasionally, but is not dependable. It is also not very nice looking as compared to the online pix. Sunpentown customer service is also severely lacking. I cannot recommend this item. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Week Strengths: adjustable speed, quiet operation, value Weaknesses: digital 'beeps' are loud Summary: This is a great cooler for the price. The tank is spacious, and a full tank can run for about a week (so just as a humidifier, without ice). The fan is quiet on the low setting, we could hardly hear it over our air filter. The only drawback I have is that the beeps when you press the buttons on the console are quite loud, and annoying. Especially when we turn the unit off and on, we have to reset it to the settings we like (low speed, swinging fan, cool air) - too many beeps each time! |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Weeks Strengths: *Easy access pouring spout*Side-to-side motion option*Quiet operation-fan level sound*Additional top pan for ice packs/ice for extra cooling*Easy buttons on top of unit Weaknesses: None yet. Have only had unit for 3 wks. Summary: Excellent cooling power ONLY in the direct stream path of unit. Nothing to the sides or about 7 ft away. Thermostat measured an 8 degree drop in the path, but to me it felt like it dropped a lot more, very refreshing. Humidity only went up additional 10%. It will beep to tell you when the water level is low.It initially would not pump the water through, but turned out to only be a loose connection. It was easy to unscrew and access the inside of the unit, and reconnect. Both the PC4USA and Sunpentown customer support were very excellent and accommodating when contacted about that. |
