Rating: Time with product: 2 Months Strengths: easy to use and install. Weaknesses: Summary: may not be needed for Macs but i do not believe the hype that they are immune to viruses, and i do not want to find out the hard way. |

Rating: Time with product: 3 Days Strengths: The Norton brand Weaknesses: As of version 10.1.2, it works under Rosetta. Summary: I have been using NAV on my PowerBook for 3 years, and have been satisfied with it. When I got my new MacBook Pro a few days ago, I proceeded to look for a Universal binary that I assumed existed for this very popular piece of software. It took some looking, and a live-chat seesion with a Symantec customer service rep to (who wasn't very professional), but eventually I learned that there is no Universal binary yet. Only QuickMenu is Intel-native.I would not recommend this product until they finish porting it to Intel. |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Months Strengths: The Norton Antivirus 10 for MAC Product works rapidly and seamlessly with my MAC G4 and Tiger OS. It automatically updates, and keeps me informed of goings on. Weaknesses: None that I have detected. Summary: Norton Antivirus for MAC does all that a user could ask. It works rapidly, it stays current by automatically updating itself to defuse the latest viruses. It keeps the user informed of its workings and the latest viral threats via a widget, and the PRICE of the full product -- excellent:-) |

Rating: Time with product: 1 Months Strengths: Great peace of mind that virus problems won't happen Weaknesses: None that I know of Summary: I bought this for a Mac, so virus problems aren't usually a big deal anyway. However, I use my computer a lot and have had Norton virus products for years, and consequently, have never had a virus problem. The program is simple to use, just install, set it up and it is working quietly and effectively behind the scenes to protect my computer. If you are worried about viruses (and who shouldn't be) then this is the solution for you. |
