bit-tech Review
"Overall, I enjoyed playing Fable 2, I may even go as far as to say I will continue to play it when I leave the bit-tech offices. For people who are starting out playing computer games I definitely recommend it.
I don't recommend it as much for experienced gamers though. I think they would enjoy the different ways in which you can play the game, and change the fate of Sparrow, but really the fighting skills needed were extremely basic and people who play games a lot may find it too easy. Personally, I think I’d give it either an eight or nine out of ten, but that’s because I don’t really play many games and found that it was just right for my level of skill." - 1st November 2008

Rating: Time with product: 1 Week Strengths: Incredible art design and graphics, progressive combat Weaknesses: Morality system that assumes the weird developers ideals Summary: Fable 2 is a great game. The storybook look to the world and characters is done well. It reminds me of Dickens stories. The open choices, adventuring, and combat are entertaining. However, some of the developers strange morals seep into the game. It's a damper to an otherwise great game when your character suffers obesity simply from eating meat. Still, it is one of the better games out right now. |

Rating: Time with product: 2 Weeks Strengths: Easy game-play, Many quests, long game. Weaknesses: Graphics are outdated and combat is a little too easy. Summary: I really liked the first Fable and this one only extends me liking this one even more. The game flows very well and there are many missions to work as well as the side missions. This game should take around 40 hours to finish if you do just about everything. 20 hours if you do maybe half the tasks. The co-op just doesn't work very well in this game and is a little bit of a let down in my opinion. Camera doesn't work very well and the sense of accomplishment is lacking. The graphics are pretty lacking too as it almost could pass as an orignal Xbox game in some cases. It is an enjoyable game as long as you look past some of that. The combat and leveling up is fun and it is a really good adventure game. I highly suggest anyone give it a shot. |
