Time with product: 2 Weeks

Strengths: Long battery life.Lite weight(compared to psp)

Weaknesses: no weaknesses to me.

Summary: I've been a Nintendo fan ever since I played mario brothers for Nintendo. It's really cool how they have the dual screens and to top it off, the lower one is a touch screen.I also like it how Nintendo makes gaming experience different every system they come out with. The Nintendo Wii looks unique to other sytems too(im gonna get that instead of the PS3). Nintendo for life!

Time with product: 5 Days

Strengths: good battery life, light weight

Weaknesses: a little bulky to carry around

Summary: DS Lite will be worth it if you plan to travel with this thing. I have only used it in home so far. Once I did bring it on a car trip which was fine, but otherwise it is a little bit of a pain to carry around (unless you got cargo pants that have pockets big enough to carry it). The screens can be hard to see in brighter weather as well (actually, damn near impossible in a car unless you have tinted windows or shade coming from somewhere).

Time with product: 3 Years

Strengths: Durable, easy interface, 2 screens, sound quality, touch pad does not scratch easily, built in battery, WiFi

Weaknesses: Cannot play Gameboy Colour or Gameboy games.

Summary: The plastic strap that it comes with is just fine, its rather big for me tho. I am 14 years old, the stylus is good, the fact that it comes with 2 is great, although I never lose 1. Easy to find buttons, power, L,R,A,B,X,Y, Start, Select. The sound while I was playing Tony Hawks Amercian Sk8land was just outstanding. I bought many games like wairo ware touched, that game requires you to use the touch pad and the mic. The touch pad is so duable that it has yet to leave a mark. The built in mic is good, no extra cables needed. I've droped it a few times on my wooden floor from about 1.5 meters, no damage done towards my player. It also plays GBA games, but failes to play my Gameboy Colour and Gameboy games. That is not a major setback, as the backlight is stronger than a standard Gameboy Advaced. The built in battery is very handy, I charge it every nigt, and am able to go out with it every day. I do not have to go to the store and waste a good 5 dollars on a pack of batteries that's sopposed to be *heavy duty* and can buy games rather. The WiFi technology is really a great help when im trying to play my friends at night. And my friends that live far away. All it requires is a friend code that you can just exchange and you can play your friend from anywhere in the world. In conclusion, the Nintendo DS is a amazing system for all ages, even adults. You don't need a link cable to play with your friends anymore, it has infer red. The WiFi is a extra bonous.

Time with product: 1 Months

Strengths: Construction seems to be high quality. It can take the rough treatment a kid can give it.

Weaknesses: One styllus. Short strap.

Summary: I am not a "gamer". I am a parent and gave it to my child as a birthday present. If anyone wants to make some money, start mass-producing the Nintendo DS styllus. Really. What were they thinking? ONE styllus for a children's game? Having a second spare one that can clip into the body would have been a better design. They added a clever plastic tab on a stap handle you can attach, but my child takes the strap off to use it... and then that gets lost as well. The strap needs to be slightly longer (maybe one or two inches) to make it easier to use. Perhaps that would reduce the tempation to remove it and use for game play (while you are tearing the house and car apart looking for that ONE styllus).Besides these two criticisms, it seems like a good machine.
