Time with product: 4 Months
Strengths: Ease of use and price
Weaknesses: not the best attachments
Summary: Like the unorganized person I am, I lost the manual immediately and had a hard time figuring out how to empty it. Once I figured it out, it was fairly easy except for the dust and dog hair that get stuck around the top and has to be dug out. Fortunately I have small hands. Overall, for the price, it's a great vac.

Time with product: 7 Days
Strengths: Does what a vacuum should do. Incredibly cleans dirt from carpeting. This is what it does best. You can instantly see the results. Clear canister is easy to empty. Great price - $100 at Wal-Mart.
Weaknesses: No bare floors. Attachments aren't great. Beater doesn't shut off when using attachments. Will scuff the wall if you hit it.
Summary: Works as well (or better) than a Dyson when it comes to cleaning the carpet. The most important factor is not the suction but the airflow. The cyclonic allows the Hoover's air-flow to be maintained at all times without the clogging inherent in bag or other bagless designs. There are NO bag vacuums which will even compare. As soon as dirt gets in the bag, the airflow begins to be reduced. The only bagless designs which compare would be the cyclonics. The Hoover is very easy to operate and to empty the dirt canister. You could buy 4 of these Fusions to equal the cost of the Dyson. It is definitely a Best Buy!

Time with product: 2+ Years
Strengths: no mess no more asthma problems
Weaknesses: none
Summary: If you empty it from the top of the canister it is alot easier. This bottom flap is easier to empty if you have no pets!!!! It empties well if don't have hair in it. You also have to empty it often. don't wait till it gets crampacked then complain because you can't empty it. It is a well designed sweeper. The suction is excellent. I have 4 kids, 2 st. bernards, and 2 cats and if you walked into my house ...you would see no pet hair anywhere you can't even tell I have animals. I have had this sweeper for over 2 years and it still works as excellent now as it did the day I bought it, and my daughters asthma is not a hugh problem anymore. Also when you empty it out from the top, take a wet papertowel and clean off the rubber strip around it and no dust will escape while its running, the seal stays tight. I LOVE MY SWEEPER!

Time with product: 2 Weeks
Strengths: Great suction, good for pet hair
Weaknesses: Small particles FLY right through this vacuum. It has a BIG emissions problem.
Summary: My son has asthma, and this vacuum really made life crazy. It seemed like it picked up particles well. It sure sounded noisy picking stuff up. But while I was vacuuming near a window with light streaming in, my husband was watching, and he noted that dust was literally FLYING out of this vacuum. A month or so later we got a consumer magazine that noted the same thing. We had already returned it, because it was causing a lot of wheezing from my son whenever he was in the room while we vacuumed with this machine. We ended up getting a Eureka Boss vacuum, and it is definately a very effective vacuum and the emissions problem is gone.
